India, May 7 -- In a strong message to terror outfits and their backers, India on Wednesday launched 'Operation Sindoor', a high-precision airstrike operation targeting terror headquarters in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK). The Indian Air Force carried out night raids on nine hideouts belonging to banned terror groups Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Hizbul Mujahideen, officials said.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, in a post following the strikes, asserted: "The world must show zero tolerance for terrorism."
