India, Aug. 7 -- The recently released Rural Consumer Confidence Survey by RBI has shown signs of improvement in economic conditions for rural consumers in India. The survey, which was conducted from July 1 to July 12 this year with 7,924 collected responses, showed that the consumer sentiment has improved marginally, with consumers stating that their economic situation has improved.

According to the survey, 41.6 per cent of rural consumers responded positively, stating that their economic condition has improved in the past two months, while 24 per cent of consumers noted that the conditions remain unchanged.

And 34.4 per cent of consumers said that their situation has worsened.
