Kochi, Feb. 24 -- Congress MP Shashi Tharoor said that he was available for the party but warned he had "options", days after he faced criticism within the party over his remarks praising the Pinarayi Vijayan-led Kerala government's entrepreneurial policies and the outcomes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent visit to the United States.
In an interview with a media organisation released on Sunday, Tharoor said that there was an "absence" of a leader within the Kerala unit of the Congress and the party would again be part of the opposition following the 2026 assembly elections if it did not try to expand its appeal beyond its voter base.
