Jammu, Feb. 10 -- Stormy scenes were witnessed in J&K assembly here on Monday after Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) MLA Waheed-ur-Rehman Para accused the National Conference (NC) government in state of putting entire Jammu and Kashmir on sale in the name of special assistance to states for capital investment (SASCI). Para squarely called it a "debt-trap".

During his recent budget speech, chief minister Omar Abdullah had expressed his gratitude to the BJP government at the centre for extending the SASCI scheme to J&K. The cash strapped UT so far has received Rs.3,200 crores within one year.
