PATNA, Oct. 8 -- Senior Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and MP from Jehanabad Surendra Yadav has been booked in an Arms Act case, in a blow to the party ahead of the assembly polls in the state.
According to officials aware of the case, an FIR was filed against the senior RJD leader following an order by Gaya District Magistrate Shashank Subhakar.
The FIR says that Yadav illegally possessed five weapons under three arms licenses. Under the amended Arms Act, a person can possess only two weapons. If the charges against the RJD leader are proved, he could face a jail term of for punishment ranging from three to seven years. htc
