Imphal, Jan. 27 -- Kuki Organisation for Human Rights Trust (KOHUR), a Kuki-Zo rights group, on Monday demanded immediate revocation of the Shaurya Chakra awarded to assistant commandant Vipin Wilson of CRPF, alleging that this honour is not an act of national pride but a state endorsement of the extrajudicial killing of 10 Kuki-Zo (Hmar) village volunteers in Jiribam, Manipur on November 11, 2024. According to an official statement, assistant commandant Wilson of CRPF received the award for safeguarding the civilians and securing the area against the brutal attack by militants on a CRPF post in the Borobekra area, Jiribam, Manipur on November 11, 2024. The trust called it "profound betrayal of constitutional values"htc
