India, Jan. 16 -- Sophie Devine, one of the pioneers of women's cricket, has made quite a start for the Gujarat Giants in the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025-26 season. The 36-year-old is proving to be the MVP for the Ashleigh Gardner-led side in the T20 competition, already amassing 141 runs in three matches. Besides, Devine picked up five wickets, with the highlight being her defence of six runs in the final over against Delhi Capitals, helping Gujarat register a narrow four-run win.
