New Delhi, May 10 -- The Supreme Court on Friday asked the Union government to retain the services of 59 women Short Service Commission officers who are challenging the denial of permanent commission, commenting that in "the prevailing situation" it didn't make sense to bring down the "morale" of the officers. "They are brilliant officers, you can use their services somewhere else. This is not the time that they be asked to roam around in the Supreme Court. They have a better place to be and serve the country," said justice Surya Kant, who heard the case along with justice N Kotiswar Singh.
