New Delhi, July 31 -- The Lok Sabha on Wednesday approved the resolution to extend President's Rule in Manipur for another six months beyond August 13, 2025. Nityanand Rai, minister of state in the ministry of home affairs, moved the statutory resolution for extending the President's Rule in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. "Some people said there is still violence in Manipur despite President's Rule. This is incorrect. Since President's Rule, only one violence, which resulted in one death, has been reported. There is no better evidence of law and order. It is important to have President's Rule to maintain peace there so I have come with this resolution," he said.htc
