Ahmedabad, June 16 -- The remains of former Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani, who was on board Air India flight 171 which crashed in Ahmedabad on June 12, have been identified through DNA matching, officials said on Sunday, adding that his last rites will be conducted with state honours on Monday.
Rupani's remains will be taken to Rajkot, his hometown. "The government has decided that there will be one day's state mourning on 16th June, 2025 (Monday) throughout Gujarat," an official order said. P8
