India, Dec. 2 -- A Bengaluru renter has raised an alarm on Reddit about what he describes as a "new flat rental scam" targeting people searching for affordable homes in the city. In a detailed post, titled "Bengaluru New Flat Rental Scam," the user narrated how scammers are exploiting too-good-to-be-true listings on popular real-estate platforms to dupe unsuspecting tenants.
