India, June 4 -- Eleven people died and several others were injured in a stampede outside M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Wednesday evening, said Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah. The incident took place as thousands of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fans crowded the area to catch a glimpse of the team after their first-ever IPL title win. The situation quickly turned chaotic at multiple entry points, forcing police to resort to a lathi-charge to manage the crowd. The injured were taken to Bowring Hospital for treatment.
