India, Feb. 15 -- Ride-hailing platform Rapido is set to launch its 'Pink Rapido' fleet in Karnataka by the end of this year-a women-only bike taxi service driven by women, for women.

Co-founder Pavan Guntupalli announced the initiative on Friday at the 'Global Investment Summit,' highlighting Rapido's commitment to empowering women in the mobility sector.

"Our aim is to create 25,000 job opportunities for women by introducing women captains on Rapido bikes. If a woman can travel safely with a trusted driver and reach her destination without worry, that will be our true success," Guntupalli said according to ANI.
