India, May 16 -- The Supreme Court on Thursday suspended the 10-year jail term of a man accused of raping a woman after he exchanged flowers with the survivor and the two "unequivocally expressed their desire to marry" each other. The accused also proposed to the survivor amid applause from those present in the court. "The details of their marriage shall be worked out by their respective parents and we hope that the marriage takes place as expeditiously as possible," said the bench.P15
