Bengaluru, March 28 -- A sessions court on Thursday rejected the bail plea by Kannada actress Harshavardhini Ranya alias Ranya Rao in the gold smuggling case - the third failed attempt by Rao to get bail in the case.
According to the prosecution, Ranya admitted to using hawala channels to facilitate gold purchases. A judicial investigation has also been initiated against Rao, to probe financial irregularities.
Tarun Raj, an aide of the actor, has also been named as an accused in the case.P10
