India, March 2 -- Akshay Wadkar-led Vidarbha won their third Ranji Trophy title at the VCA Stadium in Jamtha, Nagpur, on Sunday. The summit clash between Vidarbha and Kerala ended as a draw, but Vidarbha were crowned the champions based on a first-innings lead. For the uninitiated, all of the Ranji titles for Vidarbha have come in the last seven years.
Due to this win, Vidarbha will take home INR 5 crore in prize money. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a prize money hike for all domestic tournaments in April 2023.
