India, Jan. 29 -- Riding on pacer Mohit Avasthi's 5/62, Mumbai pegged Delhi back after a fine century from opener Sanat Sangwan on the first day of their Elite Group D Ranji Trophy match at the MCA-BKC ground here on Thursday.

From 111/1, Delhi were bowled out for 221 after being asked to bat. Mumbai were 13/1 at stumps.

Sangwan waged a somewhat lone battle, scoring 118 off 218 balls (11x4s, 2x6s). He stitched a 100-run second-wicket stand with No.3 Vaibhav Kandpal.
