New Delhi, Sept. 29 -- The ministry of home affairs on Sunday appointed Rajeev Verma, a 1992 batch IAS officer of the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre, as the new chief secretary of Delhi. Verma, who is currently posted as the chief secretary of the Union Territory of Chandigarh, will likely assume the new role from October 1 as the current chief secretary Dharmendra, a 1989 batch officer appointed in August 2024, will superannuate at the end of this month.
