India, May 8 -- Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan on Friday, Rajasthan's border districts have been put under a complete night-time blackout to protect the area from potential aerial threats.
The move comes after Pakistan attempted to engage a number of military targets in northern and western India including Nal, Phalodi, and Uttarlai in Rajasthan using drones and missiles on the night of May 7-8, prompting authorities to place these districts on high alert.
As part of these emergency measures, the district administration in Barmer, Jaisalmer and Jodhpur has ordered complete blackouts during designated hours in several regions.
