India, Aug. 30 -- Three people, including Rajasthan's Rajsamand MLA (member of the legislative assembly) Deepti Kiran Maheshwari, were injured in a collision on the Udaipur-Rajsamand National Highway on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday, police said.

According to police, Maheshwari was heading from Rajsamand when a Gujarat-registered vehicle allegedly took a sudden turn and collided with her car around 1 am near Amberi in Udaipur.

MLA Maheshwari, her personal assistant (PA) Jai, and driver Dharmendra were taken to Udaipur's Geetanjali Hospital.

"Deepti Kiran Maheshwari has sustained rib fractures. She is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) but out of danger. She will be shifted to the ward today," doctors familiar wit...
