India, April 16 -- Rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (40-50 kmph), along with isolated hailstorms, are expected across North India on April 18 and 19, as an intense western disturbance is likely to impact the Western Himalayan region until April 20, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Wednesday.

According to IMD, isolated heavy rainfall likely over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh on April 18 and 19. "Isolated rainfall along with thunderstorm & lightning and gusty winds (speed 30-40 kmph) is also likely over adjoining plains of northwest India from April 18 to 20," the IMD said.
