Chandigarh, May 5 -- The Punjab assembly is likely to pass a resolution against the attempts to "hamper" the state's interest by "forcing" it to give surplus water to Haryana during a one-day session on Monday. The session comes amid a heated political debate over the distribution of water from the Bhakra dam. Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann has said that the state will not allow even a single drop of surplus water to be given to Haryana.P7
