India, July 19 -- In a late-night foot chase reminiscent of a Bollywood potboiler, the Warje police apprehended a member of the notorious Shikalgar-Tak gang during a planned house burglary in Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) Colony, Warje Malwadi.

The incident unfolded at around 2.45 am on Friday when the Warje police led by inspector Prakash Dhende; with assistant police inspectors (APIs) Ranjit Mohite and Sachin Patil; and sub-inspector Sanjay Narale received a tipoff during their routine night patrol. Acting swiftly on the information, the police rushed to the MHADA Colony area only to spot four to five suspects in a vehicle seemingly planning the break-in.
