India, April 2 -- Delhi's power minister Ashish Sood on Tuesday accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of spreading falsehoods about power outages in the capital, stating that the party was using fake social media accounts to mislead the public. He presented data showing that during AAP's 10-year rule, Delhi recorded 272,137 power cuts, including over 21,000 cuts lasting more than an hour in the last year alone.

Sood's remarks came in response to an attention motion raised by AAP MLAs Kuldeep Kumar and Sanjeev Jha on frequent power cuts under the current administration.
