Police say media, texts missing, send phones to forensics
New Delhi, Nov. 28 -- A Delhi court on Thursday remanded four persons to two days' police custody in connection with the November 23 student protest near India Gate, which police allege turned violent. The court allowed custody for questioning and digital device confrontation, but rejected the request for longer remand.
"Given the nature of allegations, the stage of investigation and the recovery of digital devices, custody is required for verification, confrontation and device examination, though not for the full period sought," Judicial Magistrate Sahil Monga said.
