India, Feb. 8 -- A police inspector involved in rescue operations died and 12 others -- including two women constables -- were injured when a 360-degree pendulum swing ride collapsed at the ongoing 39th Surajkund International Atmanirbhar Craft Festival in Faridabad on Saturday evening, officials said.
The incident took place around 6.15pm, with at least 26 people were partaking in the ride, officials said. They identified the victim as Jagdish Prasad, 59.
Faridabad police commissioner Satender Kumar Gupta told HT that Prasad died while trying to rescue those trapped.
"All the injured persons are undergoing treatment at two hospitals and their condition was reported to be stable," he said.
