Bengaluru, May 13 -- Two members of the Vokkaliga community were booked on Monday for allegedly barring a 26-year-old Dalit man from entering the Ram Anjaneya temple at Tumakuru district in Karnataka, police officers aware of the matter said on Monday, adding that caste tension flared in the area following the incident.
The incident took place at Kavanadala village in Dodderi Hobli of Madhugiri taluk on Saturday. A video of the heated exchange between the Dalit man and members of the dominant community has gone viral on social media, they added.
