India, Jan. 25 -- A Special POCSO court on January 23 convicted a man for sexually harassing a 15-year-old girl, under Section 354-A of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 11 and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012. The accused was sentenced to simple imprisonment under Section 235(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
The accused is also facing trial for offences including assault, criminal intimidation, and additional charges under Sections 354, 323, 504 and 506 of the IPC, along with Sections 8 and 12 of the POCSO Act.
