India, Feb. 14 -- India raised its concerns about the situation in Bangladesh during the meeting between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump. The development came against the backdrop of frosty ties between New Delhi and Dhaka.

Even as the relations between India and Bangladesh plummeted to their lowest point in decades following the ouster of former premier Sheikh Hasina and the formation of an interim government last August, speculation has grown within political circles in Dhaka about a possible role of the US "deep state" in the protests that led to the downfall of the Awami League government.
