India, April 8 -- The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has extended the deadline for the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) for round 2 of its pilot phase, giving students and applicants more time to apply. Previously, the deadline was March 31, 2025, which is now extended to April 15, 2025.

The shortlisting & selection for specific opportunities started on April 1 2025.

The Scheme was launched by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and announced in the Union Budget 2024. It aims to provide 1 crore internship opportunities to young people for the next five years.

Applicants will receive a monthly stipend of Rs.4,500 from the government and an additional Rs.500 from companies as part of their CSR initiatives.
