PM inspects Ahmedabad accident site, meets ex-CM Rupani's family
Ahmedabad, June 14 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday visited the Air India crash site in Ahmedabad and took stock of the situation before meeting the injured and relatives of former Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani, who was killed in the incident.
Officials said that Modi arrived at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on Friday morning and went to the crash site in Meghaninagar. He spent around 20 minutes inspecting the site, where the Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft (AI-171) crashed into the BJ Medical College complex seconds after taking off on Thursday afternoon.
