India, Feb. 5 -- Pinterest has fired two employees involved in creating an internal tool to track which employees have been laid off. The firings come a week after the social media company announced job cuts.
Last week, Pinterest said it would let go of about 15% of its staff as it focuses on investing in AI. The workforce reduction would impact around 700 roles, the company said, without revealing which departments specifically.
Pinterest has now fired two engineers who created an internal tool to track which employees are affected by the job cuts.
