India, June 10 -- The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) on Tuesday made history by listing its Rs.200-crore Green Municipal Bonds on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), becoming the first civic body in Maharashtra to raise funds exclusively for sustainable urban mobility projects through this route.
At a bell-ringing ceremony at the BSE in Mumbai, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis hailed the move as a proud moment for the state. "The base amount of Rs.100 crore was subscribed within the first minute of issue.
