Dharamshala, Dec. 29 -- A paragliding pilot was killed and a tourist injured after their tandem paraglider crashed shortly after take-off in Himachal Pradesh's Kangra district. The incident took place at the internationally renowned Bir-Billing paragliding site on Friday evening. Officials said a preliminary inquiry suggests the flight failed to gain proper lift due to unfavourable thermals. The deceased pilot, identified as Mohan Singh, a resident of Barot in Mandi district, sustained severe head injuries, while the tourist from Kolkata suffered minor injuries.
