Imphal, May 6 -- Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Northeast in-charge Sambit Patra on Monday held a series of meetings with party leaders in Manipur, including former chief minister N Biren Singh, amid growing demand for the removal of President's rule in the state. Patra, who was on a two-day visit to the ethnic strife-hit state, met Singh at the latter's residence in Luwangshangbam in Imphal East district and held a closed-door meeting for about an hour. He also met assembly Speaker Thokchom Satyabrata Singh at his residence in Imphal East and later interacted with a few BJP legislators at a city hotel.
