Lucknow, Feb. 17 -- Passengers reaching Lucknow on Sunday recalled the chaos at New Delhi Railway Station during the deadly stampede. Slamming the poor arrangements, they described how they struggled to reach platforms.

"When I arrived the crowd was overwhelming. Police had closed the gates and told us about the stampede inside. After the incident police resorted to lathi-charge to control the crowd. Only after 90% of the crowd had dispersed did the railways run a special train. We complained to the railways several times, yet no arrangements were made-no drinking water, and even the toilets were closed," said Dharmendra Singh.
