Silchar, Oct. 26 -- Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday said the proposed state law against "love jihad" will include a provision to arrest the parents of the accused. He also said that women who give birth to more than three children will not be eligible for benefits under government schemes for women welfare. Sarma also announced that under the proposed legislation to prevent polygamy, men who marry more than once will face up to seven years imprisonment.
