New Delhi, April 14 -- Parents of DPS Dwarka students conducted a press conference on Sunday alleging that students were being held captive in the library over non-payment of "unauthorised" fees. This, they said, was revealed in a surprise inspection.
"...they were not allowed to visit the canteen," Parent of a class 6 student said.
According to the inspection report, the librarian of the school refused to give any written statement on why nine students were made to sit in the library for 15 days. DoE officials said a show cause notice to the school was issued last week and one week's time has been given to the school for the reply.
The principal of the school did not respond to HT's request for a comment. htc
