New Delhi, March 12 -- The opening day of World Para Athletics Grand Prix saw Indian men sweep the podium in discus F11 event while Preeti Pal, the double bronze medallist at Paris Paralympics, won a silver medal in women's 100m T35, T36, T38, and T44 classifications at the JLN Stadium here on Tuesday.

The event, being held for the first time in India, is witnessing participation from 280 para athletes from 20 countries. The trio of Sagar, Balaji Rajendran, and Janak Singh Harsana led India's charge on the opening day claiming the top three places. Sagar's throw of 34.84m won him the gold while Rajendran (26.98m) and Harsana (25.13m) completed the top three.
