India, Feb. 2 -- An inquiry committee constituted by the state health department to investigate the alleged theft of Mephentermine Sulphate injection vials from the Aundh District Hospital (ADH) has decided to finalise its report based on available facts alone, citing continued non-cooperation by the hospital staff; officials said on Sunday.

The case dates back to November 2025 when a class 4 employee-Swapnil Chavan, a drug store peon-was suspended under rules 2 and 4 of the Maharashtra Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules 1979 for stealing 20 vials of Mephentermine Sulphate from the hospital pharmacy.
