India, Nov. 26 -- When most people think about building strong bones, calcium is usually the first nutrient that comes to mind. It's the one we grew up hearing about: drink your milk, take your calcium supplements, strengthen your bones. But an orthopedic specialist says protein deserves just as much attention, and in some cases, even more.
