New Delhi, Dec. 8 -- Opposition leaders, led by Congress lawmakers Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, called for a thorough investigation into the blaze at a nightclub in North Goa that claimed 25 lives, strongly criticising the state government over an incident they described as a "criminal failure of safety and governance". Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Gandhi, expressing grief over the incident which took place on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, said in a post on X: "This is not just an accident, it is a criminal failure of safety and governance.
