One killed, 3 injured in Bihar after train rams into inspection trolley
PATNA, June 21 -- A railway employee was killed while three others were injured in a collision between Awadh-Assam Express (12910) train engine and an inspection trolley in Katihar district of Bihar on Friday noon, police said. The mishap occurred between Kadha Gola and Semapur area, near Maharani village on the Barauni-Katihar down line under the Sonepur Railway Division limits of East Central Railway (ECR). Operation on the route has been halted and passenger trains are being controlled at other stations until the track is certified for operation.
An ECR official said that the train was on its way to Dibrugarh from Lalgarh, while an inspection trolley of the engineering department was working on the site leading to the collission.
