New Delhi, April 10 -- In a key step towards cleaning the Yamuna in Delhi, the city's largest sewage treatment plant, located in Okhla, has been made fully operational, the office of the PWD and water minister said on Wednesday. Water minister Parvesh Verma inspected the newly constructed STP and said that the facility will significantly aid in Yamuna rejuvenation.
Verma said: "We are taking solid and decisive steps through state-of-the-art water treatment systems to make the Yamuna clean and free our city's drains from sewage. Our mission is to transform Delhi into a clean, sustainable, and responsible capital."
