India, July 15 -- Days after battling for her life, the Balasore student who attempted to self-immolate succumbed to her injuries on Monday.

As per the Department of Burn Centre at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, the patient was brought in from the Balasore District Headquarters Hospital on July 12 and admitted to the ICU at AIIMS.

Reacting to her death, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has vowed to take action against the culprits.

Student succumbs to injuries - The 20-year-old student, who was in the ICU due to the extent of her burn injuries, died on Monday. The girl was transferred to AIIMS Bhubaneshwar on Saturday.
