PATNA, Aug. 5 -- Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Monday announced a domicile policy in teachers' recruitment, giving preference to permanent resident of the state in teaching jobs, in a decision that comes ahead of the assembly polls in the state. Kumar, who has made several announcements in the last few weeks, did not specify what percentage of recruitments was to be reserved for those born and raised in the state. "I have given instruction to the education department for necessary amendments in the rules to give preference to Bihar natives (domicile).
