India, Sept. 25 -- LUCKNOW Normalcy returned to the King George's Medical University (KGMU) on Wednesday as the three-day protest by resident doctors ended after the suspensions of four of them were put on hold due to a delay in the report of the committee formed by the vice-chancellor, said authorities.

The resident doctors from the orthopaedics department were suspended for allegedly assaulting a nursing officer at the trauma centre on Sunday. The residents and nursing staff lodged FIRs against each other, with tensions persisting between the two groups.
