Noida tops chart; Ggm betters rank but still a work in progress
Noida/Gurugram, July 18 -- Noida topped the cleanliness rankings in the list of cities having a population of 300,000 to 1 million people, under the Union housing and urban affairs ministry's "Super Swachh League Cities 2024-25", according to the results revealed on Thursday.
President Droupadi Murmu presented the award to Arvind Kumar Sharma, the Uttar Pradesh energy minister, who was accompanied by Noida authority chief executive officer Lokesh M and the authority's additional CEO Sanjay Kumar Khatri.
Noida was followed by Chandigarh, Mysuru, Ujjain, Gandhinagar and Guntur. To be included in the Swachhata Super League, cities must have ranked in the top three at least once in the previous three years and be in the top 20% of their categor...
