Noida, May 24 -- A 12-year-old girl died allegedly after she accidentally touched an iron ladder close to an electric transformer in Noida's Phase 2 on Friday, police said. Police said the deceased lived with her parents and a younger sister in a shanty.
"On Friday around 9am, the minor was playing outside her home while her family was inside. She reached a spot barely 100m from her home and touched an iron ladder, which was lying close to an electric transformer," said Phase 2 SHO) Vindyachal Tiwari. He said, "As she touched the iron ladder, she suffered a severe electric shock and collapsed. She was rushed to a hospital, where she was declared brought dead."
