No order on plea to replace cloth on Gyanvapi wazukhana lock

VARANASI, Dec. 16 -- The court of Varanasi district judge Sanjeev Shukla on Monday did not pass an order on a plea seeking to replace the cloth on the sealed lock of the wazukhana (ablution area) of the Gyanvapi mosque complex here. Mumtaz Ahmad, counsel for the Anjuman Intezamia Masajid Committee, said the court observed that since the matter is under consideration before the Supreme Court, the district court does not have the jurisdiction to pass any order on the issue. After hearing all the parties in the matter, the court on December 3 fixed December 15 as the date for the order.htc
